[ID: 306] Validation for Land Surface Temperature, Aerosol Optical Depth and Water Vapour Sentinel-3 products (LAW)

The LAW project is focused on strengthening the validation of three important satellite derived datasets, including Land Surface Temperature product SL_2_LST. LAW aims to provide a more extensive and systematic validation of this Sentinel 3 LST product by extending the current network of measurements to currently non-validated biomes and regions. We aim to do this by deploying appropriate instrumentation to measure LST in situ to extend the current network of measurements in locations such as ICOS Svartberget ATC. Provide a description of the delivered services: Support provided to Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) within the framework of the ‘Copernicus Space Component Validation for Land Surface Temperature, Aerosol Optical Depth and Water Vapour Sentinel-3 Products (Copernicus LAW) project (Order number 20833242); installation of LST validation instrument package on site Rosinedal 2 (Svartberget), provision of infrastructure (e.g., measurement tower, electricity, and telecommunication services), and maintaining station in operational conditions over the duration of the Copernicus LAW project .
